On August 11th 1989 Off Iwate one ship challenged to the world record. It is a research submarine which is called Deep Sea 6500 whose body color is pure white and which is equipped with Japanese high-technology. The target is 6500 meters which is the deepness that no submarine achieved. In addition, 6500 m is the bottom of the Japan Deep. Behind this challenge, there was the drama that the men who had been dreaming of unknown world for 25 years.
