Tuffy Rhodes

I will tell you Tuffy Rhodes. He was born on April 21st 1968 in Ohio. He used to belong to Osaka Kintetsu Buffaloes, Yomiuri Giants, and Orix Buffaloes. He has the season most HR record. He has recorded total 464 HR, RBI 1269, and Hits 1792. Rhodes is the only foreign NPB player that he achieved 450 HR. In 1996 he entered Osaka Kintetsu Buffaloes. In spite of the rookie, he recorded Hits 147, HR 27, RBI 97, and AVG.293. Three years later Rhodes recorded HR 40 and RBI 101, and he got the titles of HR King and RBI King. In 2001 he achieved season HR 55 which is a tie record. His RBI of 2001 was 131 (League No.2). RBI King was Norihiro Nakamura (132) who was the teammate of Buffaloes. Rhodes got the titles of HR King and Most Valuable Player. He also got a fighting-spirit award in Nippon Series of 2001. In the next year he got the title of RBI King (117). Pacific League No.2 was Alex Cabrera (115). One year later he got the title of HR King (51). HR No.2 of Pacific League was Alex Cabrera (50). In 2004 he transferred to Yomiuri Giants. Finally, he recorded HR 45, Hits 150, and RBI 99. At the same time he achieved both Central and Pacific HR King. It was the first time as a foreign NPB player. In the next year he was fired by Giants although he recorded HR 27 and RBI 70. Two years later Rhodes came back to Japan, and he entered Orix Buffaloes. In the same year he achieved total RBI 1000. After that he also achieved total Hits 1500 and total HR 400. Finally, he recorded HR 42, RBI 96, base on balls 88, Strike Outs 147, and OBPOn-Base Percentage) .403. Still, he could not become either HR King or RBI King because Takeshi Yamasaki became HR King (43) and RBI King (108). In 2008 he got the title of RBI King (118). He recorded HR 40 although he could not get HR King. The then age was 40. What an amazing slugger he is!!
