BR2-15 Titanic

Cameron’s film, Titanic, was very expensive – it cost $200 million. Every minute of the film cost $1 million. (page 8)

I will tell you Titanic. Titanic was the biggest ship in the world- 24,900 tons. The length was 265 meters long and 28 meters across. The biggest ship amazed many people. Of course, I was also marveled at the super great hugeness of the ship. However, the ship crashed into the iceberg. As a result, about 1500 people died. The next day evening news which was the most famous newspaper said “Titanic disaster great loss of life.” I recognized that controlling the ship is pretty dangerous work for me. If I make a little mistake, many people will be killed by me.

BR2-14 Traveling Around

Cars are good for travelling long distances. They are comfortable and get people to where they are going very quickly. Buses are good for carrying a lot of people at one time. It costs less money to travel on a bus than it costs to run a car. (page4~6)

I will tell you how to drive well. When you ride on a bus, you had better sit on the front seat. Then, you watch the bus driver, and you learn how to control the bus. And you may be much better than now. Before you drive a car, you had better get sleep as much as possible. I make it a rule to get sleep at least 8 hours before I drive a car. In addition, you ought to be calm at all times. Or, you will be injured in the accident.

BR2-13 Powering Cars

Gas is an alternative to petrol. One type of gas that is used to power cars is called Liquid Petroleum Gas or LPG. LPG is a good alternative to petrol because it does not need lead to improve its performance. It also gives off less carbon dioxide when it is burnt. However, LPG does contain some other gases. These gases also harm the environment when LPG is burnt. (Page16~17)   

I will tell you Powering Cars. It is true that petrol gives many people bad influence. However, the fuel is necessary for Motor Sports. Especially, it is for World Rally Championship, SUPER GT, Indy, F1, etc...

BR2-12 HOT and COLD

Temperature is measured on a scale. There are two scales: Celsius and Fahrenheit. The Celsius scale is named after a man called Celsius. He lived from 1701~1744. The Fahrenheit scale is named after a man called Fahrenheit. He lived from 1686~1736. Some countries use the Celsius scale to measure temperature. Some countries use the Fahrenheit scale to measure temperature. (Page6~7)

I will tell you HOT and COLD. On the Celsius scale, water freezes at 0 degree. On the Fahrenheit scale, water freezes at 32 degree. On the former, it boils at 100 degree. On the latter, it boils at 212 degree. I think that it is important for me to remember Fahrenheit scale because it is shown as Fahrenheit in United States of America and United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland although it tends to being disposed.
